The good ship 8Foot Felix is crafted with Balkan Beats from a thick slice of New Orleans with a heart that pumps from Mexican Ranchero out into the Roots of the Caribbean.
Captain Tait steers the ship from his Rhodes-helm – his lyrics mapping out submerged landscapes of the human condition. Over the sweet triumph of the horns, (Jones on Trumpet and Starr on French Horn) Tait’s voice glides from Tom Waits to Vaudeville with many tasty tangents on the way. This whole is held, harmonized and hot-trotted by the trusty talents of McElhinney (Double Bass), Hopkins (Voice) and Turnock (Drums).
Sun from 6pm Nati Bowls Club $10 entry on the door (does not include food) Bar will be open and Dadswells Bridge Indian Resturant ‘Namaste’ will be cooking up a storm!
