FACE OFF
An interactive projection work that invites audience participation. Using motion capture technology, spectators can manipulate and interact with the digital projections in real-time, making each performance a unique and dynamic experience.

FaceOff encourages playful engagement while exploring themes of identity and self-representation. Face Off has been presented for numerous Festivals/events in Victoria and South Australia.
This project is a playful, interactive installation that turns audience members into the stars of the show—literally. Using a live video feed, participants have their faces captured in real time and transformed into stylised projections that appear large-scale on buildings, rock faces, trees, or any other surface suited to the site.
To join the fun, people simply pop their face into a custom photo booth. Instantly, they’ll see their animated likeness projected live—responding as they perform, react, or engage with the audience around them.
Highly adaptable, FaceOff can be configured to suit a wide range of locations. Multiple faces can be projected simultaneously, allowing friends and families to share the screen—or separate installations can be placed throughout a park, laneway or festival precinct, letting people become a talking tree, a laughing garden shed, or even a wise old rock.
Audiences can’t resist the chance to see themselves writ large—expect queues, selfies, and plenty of social media sharing. With every participant becoming part of the spectacle, FaceOff offers not only an unforgettable audience experience but also brilliant organic promotion for any event or festival.
